Bloom International was on a mission to support vulnerable women and children in Southeast Asia—and that mission was growing fast. In just three years their community grew from 44 to 2,000 women, but Bloom International was struggling to serve them all. The organization desperately needed more funds to meet these women’s needs, but lacked the experience, tools, and strategy to drive giving.
Bloom International managed to raise enough to support a handful of women’s groups, but the volunteer-run organization had little time to devote to fundraising. Worse, the organization lacked an easy path to giving and had little insight into who was donating, which meant missing out on valuable opportunities to connect with donors. Bloom International knew they needed more funds to sustain and grow their mission—and to get more funds, they needed better tools. When Founder Rachael Morlock first met with Harness, she felt instant relief: here was help she had been missing.
Harness immediately got to work with to help Bloom International create a faster path to giving for donors. Working closely with Harness to gain valuable insight into their donor base, the organization identified a group of monthly donors they designated as Bloom’s Angels. With this new information, Bloom International created campaigns encouraging more donors to become Angels. The organization also implemented impact amounts through Harness to help these loyal donors understand exactly how their funds fueled the mission.
Since adopting Harness, Bloom International has been able to connect deeply with their donors and to boost their giving strategy, raising $119K to support women and children in Southeast Asia. The organization now has a clear picture of their donor base and the right tools to sustain fundraising efforts as their organization continues to grow and create lasting international impact. Best of all, working with Harness has empowered Rachael, giving her the knowledge she needs to keep her mission thriving.
