Carolina Tiger Rescue
The Challenge
Susan King Cope is the Director of Development for Carolina Tiger Rescue, a rescue based out of North Carolina, focused on saving and protecting wild cats in captivity and in the wild. As the overall look and feel of their website would suggest, Susan is a huge proponent of maintaining a strong brand presence and providing an exceptional donor experience from end-to-end.
Though Susan and her team were doing a great job driving website visitors to the “magic moment” of making a donation, she felt that the checkout experience donors were met with did not stack up. The form was “clunky” and not conducive to mobile users - an absolute must as M+R Benchmarks statistics show that nearly 1 out of every 3 online donations are now completed via mobile.
The Solution
When Harness crossed her inbox, Susan decided to view a demo because of our innovative fundraising technologies as well as experience-first mindset. “That was something that really stuck out about Harness. The user experience from both a donor and admin standpoint is fast, intuitive, and powerful. Plus it fits right in with our overall brand!”
In just a few minutes, Harness was setup, integrated, and live on the Carolina Tiger Rescue site. Their old checkout process was instantly replaced with white-label donation widgets, pop-ups, and embeds, all specifically engineered to streamline the checkout process and increase overall donations.
The Results
Carolina Tiger Rescue saw an immediate uptick in donations as they ran their annual International Tiger Day appeal through Harness. Further, each of their donors were met with automated stewardship via text - giving them a first hand look at the cats that they were directly supporting. “I really appreciate the Impact Post and Texting features that Harness offers, as they make [the stewardship process] very easy.”
One of our strongest findings is that Carolina Tiger Rescue has amassed 67 monthly donors on the Harness platform, without having run a single dedicated appeal for monthly giving. Their combination of incredibly passionate staff, superior brand presence, and inspiring mission make us very proud to partner with Carolina Tiger Rescue!
